WESTWOOD, N.J. -- Ross Kreb’s eight-grade science classes at Westwood Regional Middle School utilized Chromebooks to learn how to use an online educational database for science research.
Using a Google Doc research organizer, media specialist Peter Richter demonstrated the database Science Online as a source for the latest news, articles, diagrams, animations and video clips regarding the planets.
Pre-screened by educators, the database is updated monthly to provide timely science information.
With project guidelines provided by Krebs, students were asked to pick one planet and describe its features in various categories and prepare for an eventual class presentation on their findings.
