Plea to help 6-year-old with brain cancer

YOU CAN HELP: Elizabeth was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was 13 months old. She has endured three craniotomies, high-dose chemotherapy and a stem-cell transplant. A new oral chemo drug has shown great promise. But it costs her family $5,400 a month.

Elizabeth and her family live in Westwood. They need immediate help with the enormous medical bills from the urgent procedures she has already undergone and the chemotherapy she currently receives.

Their expenses include:

• Substantial outstanding bills for treatments;

• The cost of Elizabeth’s new oral chemotherapy drug;

• Regular, ongoing medical costs, such as antibiotics and other expensive items.

“Elizabeth’s Fund” has been established by Giants of Generosity, Inc., a Bergen County-based 501c3 charity.

“By pooling our resources, we can accomplish that which cannot be done alone,” said Giants of Generosity CEO/Executive Director D. Jane Albanese. “Please consider making a tax-exempt donation to Elizabeth and her family today in order to support their financial needs in this time of crisis.

“Every little bit helps.”

Giants of Generosity, Inc., is accepting donations on behalf of Elizabeth’s family, which has requested that we not publicize her last name to maintain privacy.
