MONTVALE, N.J. -- Carlo A. Guadagno, 85, of Montvale, died Monday, Sept. 12. He was 85.
He was born in the Bronx, N.Y..
Guadagno served in combat for the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He spent his entire career in the motion picture industry, where he worked for more than 50 years. As a color timer at the top of his field, he worked on countless feature films. He was recognized for his work in an honorary group Oscar awarded by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences to film laboratory technicians in 2014. In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his two grandchildren, and going to the beach.
He is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Carlo, Anthony and Theresa; grandchildren Guy and Anthony Battaglia; and daughters-in-law Laura Fay Lewis and Marla Diamond.
There will be a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, 46 Pascack Road, Park Ridge. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Washington Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coronary Care Unit at The Valley Hospital.
