WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J.– Mayor Carlos Rendo threw out the ceremonial first pitch, as Woodcliff Lake's Little League celebrated opening day for the tee ball, baseball and softball teams.

"Perfect day for opening day," said Corrado Belgiovine. "Great job to everyone involved from the baseball association, Parks and Recreation, Department of Public Works, fire department, police department. And don't forget all the parents who volunteer as well.

"Thank you all and the weather gods for making it a great day for the kids."

Members of the Woodcliff Lake Fire Department set up a ladder to display the American flag just past the outfield fence.

The mayor's son, Daniel, plays for the Little League Cardinals.

Jason Diamond helped organize the event.
