Pascack Valley Swimmer Commits To Boston University

HILLSDALE, N.J. – A senior athlete at Pascack Valley High School has signed a letter of intent to swim for Boston University, according to the school district.

Cassidy Freeman had a decorated swim career as a Pascack Valley High School Indian, earning first All North Jersey Team honors for the 100 Butterfly, second team All Bergen County for the 100 Butterfly, and third team All Bergen County for the 500 Freestyle swim in her sophomore year, according to the district.

As a junior, Freeman was third in the 200 IM and second in the 100 Fly at the Bergen County meet, where she also was named first team All Bergen County for the all around position, according to the school district. She finished ninth in the 200 IM and 16th in the 100 Butterfly at that meet.

Freeman, who will be swimming as a Boston University Terrier, holds eight of her high school’s records, including the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 200 Free, 200 IM, 100 Free, 100 Fly and 500 Free, according to the school district.

School district officials said that in addition to swimming for the high school, Freeman swims for the Condors Swim Club and a competitive club team.
