ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Nyack native Patrick Kivlehan is enjoying what he described as a "homecoming" as the outfielder and his Cincinnati Reds team are playing Game 1 of a two-game series at Yankee Stadium Tuesday night.
Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The 27-year-old Kivlehan, who played at St. Joseph's of Montvale and then Rutgers University, entered Tuesday's game batting .212 with six home runs and 14 RBI.
Kivlehan, who was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the fourth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft, also played football in high school and at Rutgers.
