WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N. J. -- Westwood Regional School District was well represented when several art teachers made presentations during a recent regional conference hosted by Art Educators of New Jersey.

The annual conference, held Oct. 9-11 in Long Branch, N. J., featured visual arts instructors and other art enthusiasts from throughout New Jersey. With more than 1,000 members, the art educators organization includes public and private school art teachers, along with museum educators and authors and others.

The Westwood district teachers made presentations in workshops on topics such as choice-based arts education and strategies for critiquing student artwork, school officials said. Presenters from the junior/senior high school were Pamela Duffus, Michele Keller, and Ariel Rudin.

Karen Bloch and Lynda Panno represented Westwood Regional Middle School, while Stacey Becan represented the district’s elementary schools. For more information on Westwood Regional School District, visit the website .

The arts organization was founded in 1939 by art educators interested in promoting and maintaining quality instruction in visual arts programs throughout New Jersey. For more details on the organization, visit its website .
