MONTVALE, N.J. -- A mental health fair and forum on teen anxiety is planned Wednesday at Pascack Hills High School in Montvale.
The Mental Health Resource Fair takes place at 6 p.m. May 4 with over 40 local resources represented.
Keynote Speaker Paul Foxman, author of "The Worried Child" and "Dancing With Fear," will give a lecture at 7 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Hills Valley Coalition and aims to offer information about why teen anxiety is on the rise and how families, schools, mental health professionals and communities can work together to address the epidemic.
Participants will learn how alcohol and drug abuse intensifies the symptoms of anxiety and mental illness. They will also learn about the roots of anxiety disorders and how to combat the rising tide of anxiety in youth.
