Contacted by police, Thomas Greatorex came to headquarters Monday and was sent to the Passaic County Jail pending a detention hearing, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

Officers Ardian Cela and Elliot Lyons originally responded to the Finns Mobile trailer Park neighborhood at 122 Fairfield Road earlier this month on a report of possible drug activity, Martin said.

They found two plastic bags of marijuana in plain view on a table, a small grey grinder with pot inside and a large and small bong, he said.

They also found a complaint-summons for Greatorex on the floor, the captain said.

The evidence was seized, he said.

Detective Paul Kindler followed up and contacted Greatorex.

"Wayne police are sensitive to the quality-of-life events that occur around the Finns Mobile Home Park and respond quickly to all complaints about narcotic use in and around the area," Martin said.

"We remain committed to combating quality of life complaints in the effort to keep our community safe," the captain said.
