The Bergen County Police Bomb Squad was among a host of emergency responders summoned to Congregation B’Nai Israel at 53 Palisade Avenue, a short distance from Emerson Junior-Senior High School, after the beeping package reportedly was found.

A report that the object was an insulin pump couldn’t immediately be confirmed.

Traffic was diverted and firefighters were placed on standby following the 4:40 p.m. call.

A secondary sweep of the premises and immediate area also had negative results.

Area police, firefighters and EMS workers all responded.
