UPDATE: Several hearts stopped briefly today after two people thought they’d spotted Meaghan “Meg” Elizabeth McCallum, a 30-year-old Oakland woman who went missing nearly two weeks ago.

However, family members said the woman spotted by a church minister and local service station attendant was someone else.

“Heidi (McCallum, her mother) reviewed video and confirmed it wasn’t her,” one told CLIFFVIEW PILOT .

Loved ones and authorities are hoping the tips continue to come in.

Meg’s brother, Glen, who is on active duty with the U.S. Army and served in the Middle East, is due home from Germany tomorrow to help find his sister.

A helicopter search in Sussex County based on a tip last week turned up nothing. Searchers planned on returning there this week.

Meanwhile, billboards have gone up in various areas of the state ( above ).

Meg is 5-foot-5 inches tall and 210 pounds. ‬She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

She has a long history of mental illness, is ‎bi-ploar and stopped taking her medication, authorities said.

Loved ones fear this may have played a role in Meg’s disappearance after leaving her grandmother’s house in Montvale around 3 a.m. March 10.

She left in her black, 1998 four-door Subaru Impreza sedan, with ‎the NJ‬ license plate number: N32 EAY ( see photo, below ).

Investigators had been looking into a few people whom Meg met online, as CLIFFVIEW PILOT reported over the weekend.

“There was a date, and she was planning on returning but never did,” a source with direct knowledge of her disappearance said.

“We were really concerned right away because Meg goes everywhere with her dog. They are attached at the hip,” her mother told News 12. “She even takes her dog to work with her. So right away, we felt there was something not right.”

Family members, friends and strangers alike are doing all they can to spread the word and participate in the search.

Leaflets were being distributed to post offices, shopping centers and other public places. Social media has been saturated.

New Jersey State Police also issued a bulletin.

“We are most grateful to friends and family who have been active in the search, gave warm embraces, offered prayers and positive thoughts and have cooked delicious food,” her father, James Bradley McCallum, said. “We are deeply touched by the love and attention and remain steadfast in our faith that all this positive energy will yield good results.”
