“We ask that the public refrain from showing up at the Spearing Funeral Home on Kinderkamack Road [tomorrow] between the hours of 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.,” Police Capt. Joseph Rampolla said this afternoon.

Citizens may pay their respects at the public funeral service scheduled for Thursday at the massive Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in the Morningside Heights section of Manhattan — on Amsterdam Avenue at the foot of W. 112th Street, just north of Central Park.

Park Ridge Police expect heavy traffic delays on Kinderkamack Road and surrounding arteries tomorrow due to the private event.

“We encourage citizens to find alternative routes,” Rampolla said.
