James B. O’Connor, 53, was released without bail pending a Nov. 30 appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on child endangerment charges, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.
A months-long investigation led the prosecutor’s Cyber Crimes Task Force to O’Connor, who is divorced and lives on West Grand Avenue, Grewal said. A warranted raid last Thursday turned up the illegal images of underage girls, he said.
Grewal thanked the local police departments whose members participate in the task force and were part of the investigation– among them, Bogota, Hillsdale, Lyndhurst, Rochelle Park and Upper Saddle River. He also thanked Montvale police for their role.
