SHOUT OUT: After you’ve dated Scarlett Johansson, paired up with “Girls” creator/star Lena Dunham and won a pair of Grammy awards, where’s the next thrill? The honor, bestowed at a mobbed Tice Senior Center, was the first ever for the borough, said Mayor Jeffrey Goldsmith, who Antonoff sat next to for the (briefly) civil portion of the evening.

“It was kind of exciting to see the town turn out to cheer one of our own,” Councilwoman Donna Abene told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Several weeks ago, Antonoff and his band took the 2013 Grammy for Best New Artist and Song of the Year (with “We Are Young”).

Still, he’s continued to live with his folks in Woodcliff Lake, where’s he’s become a favorite son.

Having turned 29 yesterday, he was the target tonight of dozens of adoring pre-pubescent and teenaged girls, who pushed forward when photo op time came — and continued swarming Antonoff as police escorted him out.

Born in Bergenfield, Antonoff attended Solomon Schechter Day School in New Milford and is the younger brother of fashion designer Rachel Antonoff.

His first musical venture, while in high school, was the band Outline. Then came Steel Train and Antonoff’s first record deal.

Five years ago, Nate Ruess invited him into fun..

“We Are Young,” from their sophomore album, was their first #1 hit.

Antonoff also guest blogs for The Huffington Post.
