WESTWOOD, N.J. -- Chef John Vitale hosts a fundraiser for Special Olympics New Jersey and the newly-formed Westwood Police Officers Association this coming Sunday at his popular Caffe Anello.

Mayor John Birkner will join Vitale ( inset above ) in the kitchen of his Broadway eatery. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $75.

The evening includes a four-course, prix fixe dinner.

Space is limited, so make your reservations sooner rather than later ( see below ).

Members of the new association (a 501c charity) and PBA Local #206 will be among the participants in the March 9 Snow Bowl at MetLife Stadium for Special Olympics New Jersey.

Since it's inception, the Snow Bowl has raised more than $2 million taht has gone to help more than 25,000 special needs athletes train and compete in two dozen Olympic-type sports.
