Witnesses said she appeared to be avoiding something -- perhaps a texting driver -- when the crash occurred on Greenrale Avenue just before 5 p.m.

Firefighters removed the roof to free her.

The driver was hospitalized as a precaution, responders said.

Police responded along with ambulance corps members.

"I heard a loud bang," one resident told Daily Voice. "I came out and there was glass everywhere."
