A GoFundMe campaign created by friends to raise money and support for his family describes Ruderman as “a reserved and gentle man with a big heart” and “a true affection for his family.”
Ruderman is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Suzanne, and his children, Jessica, 8, and Josh, 2, according to the page.
He was a graduate of SUNY Albany and Brooklyn Law School, and had spent the last 13 years working for Arch insurance, the page states.
