Sandra Rider, 72, Of Woodcliff Lake

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- Sandra Rider (nee Stone), 72, of Woodcliff Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of Michael Rider for 48 years, mother of Kerry Nicolich and her husband Kenneth, and Christopher Rider and his wife Jessica and grandmother of Michael, Jessica, James and Ryan.

She was a special education teacher who worked with children with autism through Bergen County Special Services and at the Forum School in Waldwick.

She was a member of the Tri-Boro Ambulance Corps for eight years.

Her appreciation for life extended to her love for animals. She provided safe harbor for many throughout the years, especially senior dogs and cats.

Visitation is from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Inc., 155 Kinderka-mack Road, Park Ridge. There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Mother of the Church, 209 Woodcliff Ave., Woodcliff Lake. Interment will be in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Tri-Boro Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 204, Park Ridge, NJ 07656.
