Roche was born in Lyreacrompane, County Kerry, Ireland. She lived in Manhattan before moving to Westwood two years ago.
"Rebecca was a caretaker for many people over the year," information from the funeral home noted. She enjoyed volunteering at various places, including the Mary Manning Nursing Home, in New York City.
She is survived by her siblings, Joseph Roche and his wife Nellie, James Roche and his wife Joan, Mary Leonard and her husband John, and Sister Elizabeth Roche, and many nieces and nephews.
Roche was preceded by her parents, Albert and Abigail Roche.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 19, at St. Luke's Church, in Ho-Ho-Kus. Interment was private. Vander Plaat Funeral Home, in Wyckoff, assisted with arrangements.
