HILLSDALE, N.J. -- Lisa B. Rys, 41, of Hillsdale, died Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Born in Teaneck, she lived in Wallington before moving to Hillsdale more than 20 years ago.
She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from William Paterson University and was a registered nurse at Hackensack University Medical Center for 10 years in the labor and delivery unit.
She was the wife of Henry E. Parra; mother of Jeremy Rodriguez; daughter of Joseph J. Rys and his wife, Arlene, of East Rutherford and Elizabeth Driegert Alequin and her husband, Edward, of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; sister of Michael Rys of Middletown, Jodi Rys-Mancino, of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., Barbara Mayerchak, of Lyndhurst, twin sister Lorri Izzo and her husband Mark, of Highland Lakes, Michele Phillips and her husband Brian, of Hazlet, Kelly Rogers and her husband Donald, of Pompton Plains, Dana Nitto and her husband Brian, of Clifton, Ashley Rys of Hazlet, stepbrothers Kurt and Peter Dechert and step-sister Bonnie Felten.
She also is survived by 15 nieces and nephews, and Jeremy's grandmother Rafaela Lirano.
