PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- Joan L. Fromwiller, (nee Knudsen), 85, of Park Ridge and formerly of New City and Sparkill, N.Y., passed away Dec. 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late Frank for 45 years; mother of Patricia Friedman and her husband Harry, Mary Sulli and her husband Scott, Brian Fromwiller and his wife Barbara and Thomas Fromwiller and his wife Marion; sister of Adeline Korff and the late Audrey Magee; grandmother of Michael, Alison, Tyler, Krysten, Megan, Emily and Frank; and great-grandmother of Bryce, Chace and Makenna. She also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She was known for her beautiful smile and big blue eyes and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
She was active in the Sparkill Seniors and the Seniors Club at Thorpe Village.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Inc., 155 Kinderkamack Road, Park Ridge. There will be a funeral Mass Tuesday at Sacred Heart Chapel at Dominican Convent, Sparkill (call funeral home for details).
