MONTVALE, N.J. -- Howard Emmett Minnick Jr., a longtime resident of Montvale, died Aug. 31. He was 75.
Minnick was a sales executive with the Scotts Lawn Company for 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Mercy Church, both in Park Ridge, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was married to Anita Minnick for 51 years, and was the father of Lydia Wallace, married to Michael; Elaine Brophy, married to Eric; Steven Minnick and his late wife Maureen. He was the father-in-law of the late Paul Rizza and grandfather of Caroline, Jack, Henry, Sean, Brendan and Timothy. He was the brother of Marilyn Goodland.
Minnick was raised in Glendale, N.Y., and was a graduate of St. John's Prep in Brooklyn, N.Y. and St. John's University Class of 1961.
The funeral Mass was Saturday, Sept. 5 in Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge.
