Evelyn F. Davis, Former Hillsdale Resident

HILLSDALE, N.J. – Evelyn F. (nee Fiani) Davis, of Sarasota, Fla., and formerly of Hillsdale, died Friday, Jan. 8.

Davis was born in Brooklyn and lived in Hillsdale for 50 years before moving to Florida.

She worked as an executive assistant and officer for Davis Marketing Associates Inc. of Franklin Lakes.

Davis was predeceased by her husband, George; a daughter, Christine Slezak; and four sisters, Margaret Dib, Alex Corey, Lorice Mulhern and Victoria Dib.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth and his wife Margie of Franklin Lakes; a son-in-law, Steven Slezak of Andover; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Sahadi of Watchung and Marcella Katen of Sarasota, Fla.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the VanderPlaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Orthodox Church, 385 Ivy Lane, Bergenfield.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
