EMERSON, N.J. -- Ernst Miska, 93, of Emerson, died Monday, Oct. 10.
He was born in Breslau, Germany, and he immigrated to the United States in 1952, married and raised his family in Northvale before retiring to Toms River in 1988.
He spent the last six years bringing smiles to the staff of Emerson Healthcare and Rehabilitation every day.
He was predeceased by his wife, Irma Miska; children, Larry and his wife Tammy, Lisa LaFianza and her husband John and the late Peter Miska; grandchildren, Kimberly McCarra and Richard Miska; two great-grandsons, Nolan and Nathan; and his brother, Heinz in Germany.
Visiting will be from 2-6 p.m. Saturday aat the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home Inc., 274 Market St., Elmwood Park. A prayer service will be conducted at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas J. Pranschke officiating.
