HILLSDALE, N.J. — Dr. Edward L. Tarabokia, of Hillsdale, died on Friday, Sept. 18. He was 88.
He was born to Lucca and JuliaTarabokia
Tarabokia graduated from Lyndhurst High School and served in the Army during World War II.
After his service, he earned multiple advanced degrees, including his doctorate of education from St. John’s University. He went on to be Hawes School principal and an educator in the Ridgewood school system.
Tarabokia is survived by his wife Nancy Neidig Tarabokia, three stepchildren, Cynthia Neidig Myer, Jeffrey A. Neidig and his wife Lisa, and Jeanine M. Neidig, two grandchildren, Melissa A. Myer and Samantha A. Myer, and sister Dr. Joyce R. Tarabokia Dwyer.
He was predeceased by a brother Raymond G. Tarabokia, Sr.
Visiting hours were held at the Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood, a funeral mass took place at St. John’s Church in Hillsdale, and interment was at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
