PARK RIDGE, N.J. — Bernard J. Nicolosi, of Park Ridge and Flanders, died Sunday, Sept. 20, at his home. He was 89.
Nicolosi was born in Lodi, served in the Navy during World War II, and became a fixture in Bergen County politics and volunteer organizations throughout his life.
He graduated summa cum laude from St. Thomas Aquinas College and served on the President's Council. He was also a council member in Park Ridge, president and district governor of Westwood and a member of the board of directors for Pascack Valley Mental Health Board.
Nicolosi is survived by his wife, Eve; three children, Nadine, Marci and Gary; and six grandchildren, Kenneth, Kimberly, Kelly, Katie, Kacie and Kassidy.
The Robert Spearing Funeral Home handled arrangements, and interment was at Garden of Memories in Washington Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to either the Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
