Bernard F. Schnoor, 87, Former Park Ridge Resident

PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- Bernard F. Schnoor -- a Toms River resident, and formerly of Park Ridge -- died on Sunday, March 6. He was 87.

Born in Germany, Schnoor came to the United States with his wife in 1954 and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Plumber, and he retired from Perkins Plumbing, in Upper Saddle River. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Harmony Masonic Lodge No. 199 and the Park Ridge Fire Department for 33 years.

Schnoor is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irma (Bohn) Schnoor; children MaryAnn Dreeland, Bernard Schnoor and his wife Heidi, and Ken Schnoor and his wife Lucy; grandchildren Amber Schnoor, and Brian and Mark Dreeland; great-grandchildren Eli and Emma Dreeland; sister-in-law Elfriede Schnoor; and nieces Sylvia and Tanya.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bernhard and Frieda (Bockhorn) Schnoor, and his brother, Rolf.

Visiting hours will be from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, 155 Kinderkamack Rd., in Park Ridge. A funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at Zion Lutheran Church, in Westwood. Cremation will be private.
