“As mayor I am proud that the Borough of Westwood is recognized as a welcoming community committed to providing an environment that is free of intolerance, harassment, or differential treatment of any individual,” Westwood Mayor John Birkner wrote in a Facebook post, accompanied by a photo of the him holding a large rainbow flag.
“This ‘Pride’ flag will be displayed prominently at Borough Hall during the month of June,” he wrote.
