RIVER VALE, N.J.— Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi is vowing to help the former Bergen County Police Services officers that were laid off, and turned in their badges in Hackensack, Monday.
“If you were part of today’s layoffs and are looking for work, please send your resume to my office. We are going to work to help place anyone who has been laid off,” the assemblywoman wrote in a Facebook group for members of PBA Local 49.
Twenty-six law enforcement officers with the Bergen County Police Services were laid off Monday, and 11 more were demoted, according to Chris Weston, president of PBA Local 49.
