EMERSON, N.J. — Public Service Electric and Gas' installation of new utility poles being along the eastern side of Kinderkamack Road will cause partial closures in Emerson well into the week.
The borough's police department has set up detours along side streets.
The installation of the new, taller poles is the beginning of a large-scale widening of Kinderkamack Road to begin early next year.
Emerson officials drafted the plans to add new traffic lights, dedicating turning lanes and a wider road in conjunction with Bergen County engineers and other agencies.
