EMERSON, N.J. — Emerson officials and Boy Scouts were spending Friday afternoon at the United Nations headquarters in New York City for the 10th Annual Global Forum on Human Settlements.
Amond the more than 11,500 representatives attending the forums were Emerson Mayor Lou Lamatina; Environmental Commission member Michael Griggs, Esq.; Borough Administrator Bob Hoffmann; Commission member Karen Browne; Boy Scouts Troop leader Kevin Battell; and Boy Scouts Zachary Battell, Ethan Howell and Thomas Ross.
The annual session of Global Forum on Human Settlements has been successfully held in China, the United States, Brazil, Germany and Colombia. The objective is to build sustainable human settlements and promote the UN's habitat agenda.
GFHS is an associated partner of World Urban Campaign, UN-Habitat and holds the Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC.
