PASCACK VALLEY N.J. -- The New Jersey Volunteer Tuition Credit Program is offering firefighters and emergency medical volunteers assistance with their post-secondary education while helping participating municipalities in Pascack Valley retain and recruit them.
Montvale and Woodcliff Lake recently approved resolutions earmarking their support of the program, which gives volunteers serving their town for at least four years the opportunity to earn tuition credit.
The volunteer, spouse or dependent children will receive tuition credit of $600 at the end of each year -- with a maximum of $2,400 over four years.
