WESTWOOD, N.J.– Saddle River author Christian "CJ" Alecci signed copies of his self-published book, "Avon: The Storms of Change," at Westwood's Market House on Saturday night.

In his book, Alecci tells the tale of addiction through characters he created during his darkest times.

"Having your first book signing is unnerving," Alecci, 30, told Daily Voice afterwards. "You expect a few people to drop by and maybe sell a few. But the place was filled, truly a revolving door, and we were very close to selling out of all the books I brought.

"I am very blessed people are willing to step into the world I created."

Sarah Christensen and Chelsea Quinn own Market House, a shop devoted to supporting local artisans and vendors.

Market House is located at 172 Center Ave., Westwood.
