Adam Kennedy Tobia — who was 51 when he died on Nov. 5 — had recently bought an old home with his wife and three children that needed refurbishing, a GoFundMe page says.

“He worked on his home day in and day out since this was one of the lines he worked in,” Dawn Steinheimer Conkling wrote. “Needless to say, there are so so many rooms with so so many unfinished projects which are left in the midst of being unfinished.”

People have offered to volunteer their time and skills to finish Tobia’s work, but funds are still needed for the costs associated with materials and workers.

The goal is to get the projects done by the holiday season and “pay it forward,” Conkling said.
