Westwood's Iron Horse Competes For Top Honors In DVlicious Contest

WESTWOOD, N.J. -- We get it. You like to eat. And you like to eat out. But dining with kids, especially young ones -- can sometimes get sticky -- in more ways than one. Kudos to the places that offer up pleasing menus for both adults and kids as well as surroundings that don’t feel like you’re dining at Mickey D’s.

Lee Tremble, owner of The Iron Horse in Westwood, said the restaurant was always "the little engine that could."

The Iron Horse Restaurant, Westwood

Why It's Kid Worthy: For one, this place is run by a family -- and has been for 45 years -- so they know families. Owner Lee Tremble, aka "Uncle Lee," allows moms access to his office where he has a rocking chair ideal for nursing moms. The restaurant also offers non-toxic Crayola crayons, coloring sheets, changing tables and high chairs as well as a super child-friendly menu that allows kids who taste and don't like what they ordered to get something else. PS: The eatery is also a Poke stop. Tremble is all about making his guests feel comfortable, from young at heart to young in age.
