PARK RIDGE, N.J. — More than $600 had been raised as of Wednesday afternoon on a GoFundMe site for the Park Ridge Community Garden.
Located at Pascack Road's First Congregational United Church of Christ, the Community Garden will have 25 planting beds, mulch, fencing, plantings to attract pollinators and more, the page says.
Since proposing the garden earlier this month, 75% of funding has already been raised to have a completely functioning garden by Memorial Day, the site says.
The garden will serve Park Ridge families and supply fresh produce for the Tri-Boro Food Pantry, located at the Pascack Reformed Church. Organic practices will be used for soil, fertilization and pest control in the garden.
