HILLSDALE, N.J. -- Olympic Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson will be at Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics in Hillsdale on May 1 to help fundraise for the Josephine’s Garden Fund for Pediatric Cancer Research.
Josephine's Garden is an environment on the fifth floor of the Hackensack University Medical Center created by Saddle River mother Heidi Hartung Rispoli in 2012, months after her 7-year-old daughter Josephine died of an aggressive form of brain cancer.
All gymnasts who raise $250 will meet Johnson for pictures and an autograph, attend a question and answer session and have lunch with her.
“I’m thrilled to team up with Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics to raise money for the Josephine’s Garden Fund for Pediatric Cancer Research," Johnson said in a statement. "I can’t wait to meet the young gymnasts of New Jersey.”
The top 30 overall fundraisers will have a private clinic with Johnson. Eleventh through 20th overall fundraisers receive priority seating at the lunch. Top 10 overall fundraisers sit with Johnson for lunch at the head table and two overall fundraisers sit next to her.
Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics is located at 157 Patterson St.
