Free Mental Health First Aid Training Offered At River Vale Public Library

RIVER VALE, N.J. -- The Hills Valley Coalition Stigma-Free Mental Health Committee is to offer free mental health first aid training on June 6.

The Hills Valley Coalition Stigma-Free Mental Health Committee is to offer free mental health first aid training on June 6 at the River Vale Free Public Library.

The training, which is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., is to take place at the River Vale Free Public Library, 412 Rivervale Road.

Course instructors will aim to teach how to help someone who is developing a mental illness or who is experiencing a mental health crisis.

According to event organizers, the training program is "proven to increase knowledge, reduce stigma and increase supportive action."
