WOODCLIFF LAKES, N.J. -- The Eric Ayala Memorial Foundation Annual Dinner will be held on Friday, May 6 -- and you can probably still get in.
Eric Ayala was a three-sport Emerson High School athlete who was diagnosed with and died of acute lymphatic leukemia six years after he graduated.
The mission of the foundation is to help people who have been diagnosed with an illness or who are in a situation of need. It also provides an annual scholarship for two Emerson High School graduates.
Tickets are $80, and include a buffet dinner, tricky tray and DJ.
You can still call and reserve tickets -- call Emerson/Park Ridge wrestling coach Stan Woods, at 201-913-3838 -- and there should still be some tickets available at the door. Checks should be made payable to Eric Ayala Memorial Foundation.
The event will run from 7 p.m. to midnight, at Woodcliff Manor, 25 Prospect Ave., in Woodcliff Lake.
If you can't make the dinner, you can still donate directly, by mailing checks to Tom Mulhern, 55 Sherwood Ct., Emerson, NJ 07630, or through GoFundMe.
