Bakery Is Dream Come True For Dumont Mom

DUMONT, N.J. – A new bakery and cafe is coming to Dumont and it’s a dream come true for the owner.

“My biggest dream is coming true! I am bringing something very special to Dumont,” baker Zainab Illyas wrote on the Facebook page of her business, Zai’s Dessertery.

The Dumont mother plans to open the bakery in the fall, she wrote.

“I want to thank every single person that has helped, inspired and supported me and have given me the confidence and encouragement to pursue this once in a lifetime dream,” she wrote.
