Amazon wasted no time cutting prices at the grocery chain, slashing prices as much as 43 percent on its very first day as the owner.
Markdowns Monday were on bananas, apples, eggs and meat, with more expected to come imminently.
In Bergen County, Whole Foods Market has locations in Paramus, Edgewater, Ridgewood and Closter.
The Upper East Side NYC location on Monday was also stockpiled with a display of Amazon Echo and Dot devices, marked down from nearly $100 to $50, respectively.
